While skulls may evoke feelings of discomfort or even fear, this skull represents the inevitability of death as a comfort. Skulls are a common subject for me, and on this extra large scale, the skull as Everpresent gains added emphasis. Just below the surface of all our faces, our skulls lie in wait.
